A downloadable game for Windows

Strike Steel is a historical fantasy first-person rhythm game about the hellish mills and furnaces of the Brimstone Steel Company, the community of laborers that live in its shadow, and the deadly strike brewing between them. Your objective as a steelworker is to strike each of the glowing, oscillating orbs before time runs out.

Controls

  • Move - WASD / Left Stick
  • Aim - Mouse / Right Stick
  • Strike - Left Mouse Button / Right Trigger
  • Quit - Alt + F4

Notes

  • This is an early prototype developed as part of my capstone in the Digital Narrative and Interactive Design program at the University of Pittsburgh. It features a demo environment which lacks art assets. For playtesting purposes, the time limit is effectively removed.
  • Currently, there is only a Windows build of this demo.
  • Please play with mouse and keyboard. A bug exists preventing aiming with a controller, as the hammer always strikes where the mouse is aimed.
